I've Got Something Brewing...

It's amazing to me to know how much has changed in just 30 days. I'm heading into a new venture. I've decided to start up my fluid art painting business again. But this time I've carefully planned out what and how this business is going to work along with my photography.

I have to say I'm one of those people who likes to do more than one thing. I need diversity in my life to satisfy my creative needs.

What I mean is this. Photography is and will always be my first love and with my new found title I'm extremely happy with who I am as a photographer and my chosen niche, but sometimes I get in creative ruts and I find myself struggling to get out of these ruts and becoming extremely frustrated and then I just turn everything off. Which isn't good for business. So for that reason, I've decided to bring back my fluid art paintings to help with my creative ruts with my photography. Sounds crazy I know, but it works and I love doing both!

Before I started all this I had to sit and think logically if doing 2 businesses wasn't going to make me crazy and end up dropping one. I did the pros and cons and decided that it will work, just the initial start-up of the fluid art painting would take a little extra time.

For the last 30 days or so I've been working hard to get my fluid art website up and running, creating a logo, marketing materials, setting up Instagram and Facebook accounts and a lot more details to be worked out.

I do find myself ahead of schedule. I didn't intend to launch my website until October, but I already have. I will, however, have my entire business plan all done and ready to announce on my website by October.

The bonus is that the other day I opened up my Lightroom and was surprised that the photos I saw, which just 30 days ago frustrated me, now inspired me.
