Getting Started
There was a quote I saw on Instagram that struck a chord with me.
"Don't Fear Failure
Fear being in the Exact Same Place
Next year as you are Today" -unknown
The reason this quote got to me is that I've always wanted to start my own art business, but I can't do that until I find my artist voice. I keep running in circles and getting nowhere fast.
So that said, on December 8, 2022, I started doing art everyday... for a couple of reasons, one is to find that artistic voice and two is to keep me from entering what was almost a depression. With everything going on in my personal life I needed to have my art to keep me somewhat sane and now that I have decided to pursue a mixed media/doodling journey I needed to get started. It was time to get serious!! I'm not getting any younger!!

First, I want to start off by saying that even though I started my art projects in early December I'm actually starting my whole art journey in January.
Over the next couple of blogs, I will be sharing what I've done since the 8th of December. Some days I did a lot and some days just a little, but it's been every day! I'm also seeing small improvements the more I practice.
I started doodling first and then did my first of many mixed media collage grids.
I'm pleased with the way these turned out and excited to see how I do over the next several months.
Here I will be sharing a few of what I've done during the week, but to see what I've done every day check out my Instagram page where I will be posting what I do every day.
My goal with the mixed media collage grids is to find what colors I love working with and develop a style.
In this collage grid I really like the magenta and the aqua green mixed it with some black and white.
Stay tuned for more coming next week. Until next time, have a fantastic week!
