Cherry Still Story Project
The #creative process for me starts with pen and paper. I jot my ideas on paper and then I consider what props I need to create the still story I have in my head. I wait for a relatively sunny day since I only use natural light for my #stillstories.
I start with my backdrop, the one in the photo is one I created using masonite board, joint compound, stencils and acrylic paint. Then I put in the small vintage window that I picked up at a antique show. Picked out a pinkish gray fabric to use as a curtain and then a nice off white linen tablecloth. I've also included a bowl of cherries, vase of baby's breath and lavender a pair of bonsai shears, book for height and candle stick for background detail.

Putting some cherries outside of the bowl and some baby's breath and lavender buds adds more character to the photo.
This is the overview and a starting point. I took many photos from different angles. Rearranged the props, changed the color of the curtain, the background. Trying all kinds of different perspectives.
Then I head to #lightroom and #photoshop for some processing. With this image I used preset from 2 Lil Owls Still Stories #14 tweaked the settings and headed to photoshop for textures. The textures I used was just one and it was from the 2 Lil Owls Still Stories #2. Which happens to be one of my favorites. I should point out that I did take a Still Stories Workshop from 2 Lil Owls and so glad that I did.

This is the final photograph. I love this and so proud of myself for being able to finally create the #stilllifephotography that I've always wanted to do. I'm exploding with #creativity since finding 2 Lil Owls workshops!
